Default Keg of Aged Hunter's Ale

What's the deal with these? Were they supposed to help compact inventory? Because they're 50 uses, unstackable. A stack of 250 level 5's is more convenient. I'd rather just get 50 firewaters from the traveler's gift.

Yeah. And while we're at it, we can get rid of mandragor root cakes, since fruitcake does the same thing. Honeycomb is pointlessly clogging up our inventory, we've got rainbow candy canes for a party-wide morale boost. Birthday Cupcakes can be removed completely, since its effects are covered by Candy corn and fruitcake... I think you get the picture.

People like variety. They like new stuff. If you don't want that keg, you can go and trade it for 50 firewaters, or I could save you the trouble and take it off your hands for the low price of nothing.

I was just wondering what the idea for it was. It just sounds like more reason to "have" to get more storage...more stuff that takes up more space compared to what it's worth.

Mm. Conspiracy theory much? You REALLY dislike that storage don't you? lol (Just remember you were fighting against it when it was first announced.)

Well, it's no secret. And all this added stuff being introduced along with omgwtfpwn buy mai storage pl0x! is kinda suspect. Hey look, this guy is collecting random stuff from around the globe, GOTTA SAVE YOUR COLLECTOR ITEMS! Oh look, 3 new levels of coins, new tonics, new summon stones, new candy and booze.

It's pretty obvious...not a conspiracy theory, more like dissatisfaction with having "free" new "content" but you have to pay to enjoy it.

It's all marketing; A-Net gives you lots and lots of more items and (almost) forces you to create a PlayNC account. They've positioned themselves in a way that gives you easy access to buy slots, make-over credits and more storage for all the new stuff they gave you!

Eh. I'm not going to deny it could have been planned that way. But the free pane you can get pretty much covered all the new things introduced. So that's a balance to where it doesn't force you to buy more storage. (It might not cover ALL the new items but a decent percent of them.)

Take a walk outside or something.

Seems like you're just looking for anything to complain about now. Makes you look kind of desperate.

well...it seems sensible..i'd like to see you carry 250 kegs around xD
i can see 250 cupcakes..250 of the other things, but KEGS?

maybe its to keep the packrats from collecting them and instead teach them to have some fun with the items they are rewarded with?

Not looking, just got two of them from Nicholas and thought "wtf?"

@spam: yeah and i can totally see 250 steel ingots, 250 iron ingots, 5 hammers, 5 swords, 8 shields....all in bags.

From a lore perspective, everything about "storage" makes no sense. If you want to say they're magic bags that work like Santa Claus, then why can't a keg fit? My point is that they all of a sudden combined Firewater with ID kits. They didn't even bother to give it a friggin icon...

Sounds to me like it was just introduced as an afterthought.

Yes because all video games make sense, like monsters that shoot fireballs or teleporting back to a town...Stop crying over something so small.

As for the icon, it's "Under Construction" so just give it time.

Yeah, that's my point. Try reading the posts in the thread before commenting on just the last person who posted. I was referring specifically to someone saying "try carrying around 250 KEGS!"

As for the icon...they've had time. They actually made the 3d model of the Keg, why can't they spend a few minutes BEFORE THE RELEASE making a tiny resolution icon for it, if it wasn't an AFTERTHOUGHT?

I swear, sometimes people need to be shot.

I also found this quite silly. It wouldn't be so bad if the keg uses could be stacked, but that's probably require a rewrite of the item itself.

In other words, the full keg should be of somewhat less value than 50 level 5 alcohols, because kegs can't be stacked, and that makes them costly to be handling.

I did read the whole thread, but thank you for teaching me the basic forum etiquette because you seem to know it SO WELL (I don't usually talk like that, but I thought I would put it in terms you'd understand).

And you just happen to know it takes "a few minutes" to make and implement an icon in-game? Would you rather have an "under construction" 3D model instead? Sure they had time, but look at how much they've added to the game. I'm sure you were kicking it up when the "Under Construction" icon was used during the Beta too?

I couldn't agree more; people who complain about such little things should be taught a lesson.

I think you have a point. A lot of redundancy between all these new items, thus need more storage (in the absolute). On the other hand I personally don't mind if I get a mini-Gwen-chan .

More seriously, why copper, silver and gold zoins? Unless they're going to make use of them later (even though, they could have had only one currency).
